Charity Drag Show

I photographed a Drag Show on campus recently. It was the most fun I've had shooting something in a long time. The people were all great characters, which provided for great photos. Just talking to each individual and taking the time to care about what they care about creates a trust and allows them to be comfortable and act normal. I followed Western freshman Isaac Bond through his transformation into Lillian Cumfortable. He said it takes approximately an hour and a half to get ready.

Here are some other photos from the night:

Anne Albosta gets help applying her beard before the show.

Western sophomore Truong Nguyen, whose stage name is Queen Bee, gets help with his eye lashes.

Betty Desire performs "Last Dance."

Queen Bee performs "Call on Me."

Steven Didis performs "Vogue."
